Residential Complex with a Sculptural Silhouette and Human-Scaled Identity
This project aspires to be more than a residential building — it is envisioned as a sculptural gesture woven into the rhythm of the city. Through cascading terraces and carefully articulated identities, the architecture unfolds in layers, offering not just dwellings, but a landscape of inhabitation. Each shift in height, each material nuance, invites future residents into a rich spatial narrative — one that is felt as much as it is seen, lived as much as it is observed.
Program: residential, ground floor retail, underground parking
Area: 13 400 sq.m
Status: Realized
Size: 122 apartments
Location / Site
The project responds directly to its urban context through its stepped volumetry, softening the transition between a 15-storey landmark volume and a 5-storey perimeter. This cascading form creates a memorable silhouette while integrating sensitively into the scale of the surrounding neighborhood.
Urban / Social
Rather than a monolithic block, the building reads as an ensemble of four smaller houses — each with its own architectural pattern and brick tone. This subdivision enhances the sense of identity and belonging, giving the project a human scale and encouraging community-building. The ground floor is animated by services and communal functions, fostering interaction and everyday life beyond private space.
Typology / Function
The terraced configuration generates a rich variety of housing types, including apartments with generous balconies, loggias, and rooftop terraces. These elements offer not only functional outdoor extensions but also introduce unique spatial narratives to each dwelling — promoting individuality within a collective structure.
Materiality / Tectonics
Each building segment is clad in a different textured brick, reflecting its distinct personality while maintaining overall coherence. The facades are animated by a rhythm of deep window reveals, balconies, and setbacks that articulate the mass and reinforce the tactile and crafted nature of the design.
Atmosphere / Emotion
The architecture seeks to evoke a sense of home and emotional attachment — from the inviting material palette to the spatial richness within apartments. The interplay of light, outdoor spaces, and thoughtfully proportioned interiors creates a calm, dignified atmosphere for daily life.
